Stefania was wearing a cover on her face when she asked Gerardo if it would be OK to make a little play to commemorate the birth of Jesus. “After all, this is what Christmas is all about,” she added. She had planned the whole production together with her cousin Andrea before asking for permission. When Gerardo said it was a great idea, Stefania asked if she could play Joseph and Andrea could play Mary. Gerardo accepted. Stefania then took the cover off her face. She had already had Sofia draw a beard on her face. Special guests in the play were Sofia (as the Angel), Wendy (as the new star), Samuel, Jorge Jr., and Wendy (as the sheppards). Gerardo was the narrator (Luke 2). After the play, we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner… and later on the following morning, we ate the tamales we made with Wendy. We had a great time, and we thank Wendy and Jorge, Sam and Chela, and the Prims for sharing such a special occasion with us.
